PNF Stretching

PNF stretching or Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, is a form of stretching that combines isometric contractions with passive stretching.

In other words, it is stretching that requires two people, the patient and the qualified individual.

PNF stretching is used in addition to daily stretching techniques, but provides for quick gains in range of motion. Range of motion is important with regards to bio mechanics, reduces fatigue and help in the prevention of injury.

Proper range of motion also helps in the maintenance posture and decreased the rate of wear and tear on our joints.

PNF stretching is just one of several great ways to keep your body healthy and in its best shape for years to come!
